Place to Visit in Dooars

Dooars or the gateway is situated along the eastern Himalayas in North-eastern India neighbouring Bhutan. Gorumara National Park

Previously known as a wildlife sanctuary, rivers Murti, Jaldhaka, and Ingdongflow through this park, producing a lake body popular for birdwatching. This national park is well-known for rearing the endangered one-horned rhinoceros. Elephant rides and Jeep safari. It is the most favoured place for nature lovers and adventure seekers.

Chapramari Wildlife Sanctuary

Jaldapara National Park

Chilapata Forest

Chilapata Forest Reserve is located between two prominent national parks, Jaldapara National Park and Buxa National Park, and is the most important migratory corridor of the Dooars area. Chilapata's diverse flora and wildlife, as well as its unspoiled ambiance, have made it a popular nature lover's destination in the Dooars area.This is another deep woodland where elephants and leopards can be found. 

Buxa Tiger Reserve

Buxa Tiger Reserve is a natural sanctuary surrounded by the rugged hills of Bhutan, is the largest forest in North Bengal and boasts the second greatest number of Royal Bengal Tigers in West Bengal after the Sunderbans. The breathtaking walking trail through the dense forested forest that surrounds the Buxa Tiger Reserve has made it a popular adventurer hotspot in the Dooars Region.
